FC Twente striker Luka Modric admits to “losing touch” with his team-mates

Modric is a “loser” at the Twente this season and admitted to “trying to lose touch” and “being lost” with the team, according to a video posted on the club’s website.

The former Real Madrid player made the comments in the video, which also featured him celebrating the team’s first-ever Champions League victory with a shirt.

The 26-year-old scored the opener in the second half and helped his side seal the win, scoring four goals in the process.

“I have lost my touch with my teammates,” Modric said in the interview, which was published on the team website.

“This is a very sad moment for me, but I think I will be able to get back to my best.

I know I can still help our team to win trophies.”
