A Jeep Wrangler and Honda Civic will be offered in the UK next year, while Honda has revealed the first ever J-series of the Japanese automaker’s flagship compact car.
Both will arrive on the market alongside the UK’s first all-electric SUV, the J-5, in 2020.
The Wrangler will be the first J-Series car to get the plug-in hybrid system, while the Civic will follow in 2021.
Both cars will be priced between £37,000 and £52,000.
Jeep’s new J-6 and Civic’s new compact J-7 will be built on the Wrangler platform.
Both vehicles will be powered by a new turbocharged 1.4-litre turbocharged engine that will power a six-speed automatic transmission and two electric motors.
Both cars will also be offered with a seven-speaker audio system.
Both the new cars are expected to be unveiled in 2021 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Civic and Wrangler are expected in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
